    Gli emulatori:

Ahaha! Ti piacerebbe un emulatore N64!
Le uniche cose attualmente esistenti sono:

1) Un FAKE, ossia un programma che solo dal titolo si presenta come emulatore N64. Quando viene avviato, comincia a fare il test delle risorse hardware, e si blocca inesorabilmente alla rilevazione della CPU. Anche su un P2 266Mhz!!!
In verità non è altro che un programma fatto in Delphi o similari...

Vi riporto per esteso le istruzioni:

WARNING:  This program is in an experimental stage.  Do not run this if you
are a scaredy-cat.  I am NOT responsible for anything you do, get caught
doing, or think of doing while in possession of this program.

PREPARATIONS:

Before starting, you need the following items:
  One (1) PC Computer.
  One (1) Finger.
  One (1) Hammer.
Lay them out nicely on a sheet of aluminum foil.

INSTRUCTIONS:
=============
1)  Unzip this.  If you don't know what that means, then push the button, or
flip the switch, on your computer that says "Power" next to it.

2)  Run the .exe.  Again, if this completely confounds you, perform the
action stated above, but also take a hammer and allow it to drop from a
height of at least ten feet directly above your head.

3)  Select File->Load, pick the image file.  By this time, you should know
what's going on.  No hammers needed for this step.

4)  Select Start->Run.  Run the game.  The program will perform a few system
checks first, to ensure your computer is good enough to use this.  If you
fail any of them, go buy a better computer and try again.

2) Il work-around. E' ad uno stadio di evoluzione talmente avanzato che, comparato a quello della vita sulla Terra, lo si potrebbe paragonare ad un'ameba podoesgiante. Suddetto "emulatore" permette infatti, a patto di essere dotati di un Klamath300 e di un acceleratore ObsidianPRO 8Mb, di vedere, nientepopodimenochè.... IL PRIMO FRAME DI QUALSIASI GIOCO PER N64, ovvero una SCHERMATA NERA!!! :-)
Insomma... attualmente non esiste nessun emulatore N64!!!

Prova a visitare anche Soul Emu.

Alcuni suggerimenti:

1) Manda una mail-bomb al tizio che ha creato il fake, e che mi ha fatto sbavare per tutto il tempo del download. :-)
2) Leggi le istruzioni
3) Rileggi le istruzioni (effettivamente, il creatore dell'emulatore n64 ha fatto più fatica a scrivere le istruzioni che il programma vero e proprio...)
